Help for Property Owners

How StayInFuerte works for hosts — what it costs, what we do with your listing, and what stays under your control.

Your Listing and the Invitation Email

From public listing information. To get StayInFuerte started we built a catalogue of Fuerteventura holiday rentals using details that are already published on sites like Booking.com — photos, description and location. Nobody signed you up, and we have no access to your account on any other platform. Think of the page as a placeholder we're holding for you: guests can see the property, but until you claim it they cannot contact you through us. Claiming it puts you in charge — you can correct anything that's wrong, upload your own photos and set your own prices. If it isn't your property, or you'd simply rather not be listed, tell us and we'll take the page down immediately.

Yes. Listing your property, managing it and receiving guest enquiries cost nothing, and we take no share of what a guest pays you. The honest answer to "what's the catch": we're a young, island-only site and we need good properties on it, so free listings are how we grow. In future we plan to offer optional paid extras for owners who want more visibility. If that happens we'll explain it clearly and in advance — you will never be charged for something you haven't agreed to.

Claiming takes a couple of minutes: you confirm your email address, create a free account, and the listing is linked to it. There's no approval queue — the page is already online and your changes appear on the site straight away. We do review listings from time to time and may write to you if something looks wrong, out of date or missing, but we don't stand between you and your own page.

Managing Your Listing

No. Write it once in whichever language suits you, then press Translate and we'll fill in the other three. You can edit any wording that doesn't sound right. It's worth doing: our visitors come mainly from the UK, Germany, Poland and mainland Spain, and people enquire far more readily when they can read the details in their own language.

Yes. If your property is on Airbnb, Booking.com or a channel manager that gives you an iCal link, paste that link into the "Availability calendar" field when editing your listing. We read the booked dates from it and mark them as unavailable here. You can also block or release dates by hand in the availability calendar. Keep in mind that an enquiry on StayInFuerte is a message, not a reservation — dates are only taken when you confirm them with the guest yourself.

Yes, at any time, without asking us. Log in, open "Manage properties" and change photos, prices, house rules or availability as often as you like. Renovating or fully booked for the season? Deactivate the listing and it disappears from the site until you switch it back on. You can also delete the listing and your account entirely from your profile — no phone calls, no persuasion.

Create a free host account, open "Manage properties" and add your listing: photos, description, prices, house rules and the location on the map. Allow about twenty minutes if your photos are ready. If you'd rather not do it alone, write to [email protected] and we'll help you get it online.

Guest Enquiries and Money

We email you as soon as a guest writes, and the message also waits in your inbox on the site, where the whole conversation stays in one place. Reply within 24 hours if you can — holidaymakers usually write to several owners at once, and the first useful answer very often wins the booking. If you're away, even a short note saying when you'll get back keeps the guest interested.

No. No commission, no booking fee, and no payment passes through StayInFuerte at all. The guest contacts you, you agree the price and the conditions between you, and they pay you directly — bank transfer, PayPal or cash on arrival, whatever you normally use. What you charge is what you receive. The deposit, the cancellation terms and the rental agreement are entirely yours to set.

Licence, Data and Support

VV stands for vivienda vacacional — the registration number a holiday home receives when it's entered in the Canary Islands tourism register. You can publish a listing on StayInFuerte without it, but if you have one, add it: we show it on the property page, and more and more guests look for it as a sign that a rental is properly registered. We can't advise on your own registration — your local town hall or a gestor is the right place to ask.

We publish only what belongs on a listing: the property, its photos, its description and its location. Your email address is never shown on the site — guest enquiries reach you through our form. Your phone number appears only if you switch that option on yourself. We don't sell your data or pass it to third parties, and because no payments run through us, we never hold your bank details. You can delete your account and your personal data at any time from your profile.

Write to [email protected] or use the contact form. You'll get an answer from a person, usually within one working day, and you're welcome to write in English, Spanish, German or Polish. If something on your listing is wrong and you're not sure how to fix it, send us the link and we'll sort it out with you.
